Happy Mama's Day....

I think I have writers' block.  Or maybe, I'm just in a season of life being so overwhelming that all the words are just stuck underneath all the other...stuff.  All the stuff that I can't write about due to circumstances, and all the stuff I can't write about because it just all hurts too much right now....and there's just a numbness that comes when I try to express it.  Maybe that's part of what writer's block is. ;)

But I know they will come again, and hope that if I keep posting just little snippets of this & that, that the words will eventually come.

So, today was Mother's Day.  I took my mama (and myself) out to lunch. Cheddar Bay biscuits and Lobster Pizza.

Yeah, baby.... :)

We had to entertain ourselves while waiting for a table.  This.  This is how we roll.  Most of the time, anyway.  Me and my 3.  <3

I was having a bad hair day.  Florida.  Humidity.  You get the point....

Dear Santa....

I have a confession that often surprises people.....I have a thing for Harleys.   ;)

I took one of my kids to see his PopPop this weekend for his birthday, and it just so happened to be BikeFest weekend.  We stopped first at the Harley dealership where I added to my Christmas wish list ;)

Later, while Jacob and his PopPop went out for dinner and a movie, the girls and I headed out to see the sights....oh my.  Talk about being a fish out of water!!  But the Harleys were super cool ;)

One day.....I'm gonna be a real Harley chick.  Sort of.  But not the hard core, wild & crazy kind.  More like a girl who craves wide, open spaces, who's country at heart....and has a kickin' Harley in the barn or shed out back.  ;)

Best Birthday Ever.... Part 2: The Car

Circumstances being rather....difficult....and many things being beyond my control, I was in a bind.  A vehicular bind.  My daddy came to my (and my kids') rescue.....

After getting tags & title transferred, we headed to Car Spa.  And, cuz we know how to party on my birthday, my daughter and I killed some time while we were there....

Cuz we know how to party on my birthday ;)

Best Birthday Ever....Part 1: The Cards....

I just had a birthday, but I'm not telling you the number!! ;)

Best.  Birthday.  Ever.

Or, since I can remember.  Having my daddy here made it that way.  Esp, considering.....life had been harder than hard.  (Strength For The Journey)

This girl needed her daddy.  So much.  <3

I got birthday cards!!!!  I think this is the first time my kids have ever been taken to choose their own store-bought cards for me!!

They did better than good....such sweetness!! (❤thank you, Daddy ❤)

Hot Off The Presses....

.....or, more accurately, still warm from being pressed! ; )

As soon as I posted pictures of my newest tote, I started getting inquiries and requests for customized orders.  Talk about getting an instant reward for my efforts! ; )

I've got to give a shout-out to those Fl Gator fans ~ they keep this Sweet Diva busy with customized orders in their desire to show their team pride in style! ; )

A customized version for A Univ. of Fl. student.  I think she's a music major.....and her ♥sweet♥ mama is getting started on her Christmas shopping!  After Christmas, this student will be able to to show off her love of music, her love of ♥Christ♥, and her loyalty to her school team ~ all at the same time!

My super ♥sweet♥ daughter helped me decide on the Gator-colored fabrics.....she earned a cookie for her efforts.  Gotta love child labor! ; )

A sweet ♥ friend ♥ from church also placed an order for her own birthday gift (she shops like I do!).... =)

Nearly identical to the original, but slightly modified.....

She chose the phrase "His Song is Salvation" and wanted her name embroidered on the band, which I made slightly wider so that her name wouldn't have to be teensy-tiny! =)

Customization is a very fun thing.....these are ready for delivery & I've got to serve up some lunch to these homeschool students of mine before getting them started on their next assignment....and getting myself started on my next assignment!

Happy Tuesday! =)

Here’s how we “Stayed Cool in the Summer Heat!”

A couple of weeks ago, we had a belated birthday party for my boys, combined for the sake of Mom's sanity who has too much to do this summer & too little time to do it in! ; )

I let them each choose 1 friend to sleep over the night before the party, and with it being dreadfully hot, humid & mosquito-y outside had to come up with plenty of indoor activities to keep them occupied & happy.

Yay for Wii....which they took turns sharing.....

And when these two weren't playing Wii, they were chasing each other around the house....

It's truly amazing how much noise just 4 boys can make!!

We made homemade pizza for dinner:

And homemade ice cream for dessert. =)

They also spent much time running around with all the Nerf guns we own.....I never remember how heavily armed we are until they have friends over.  Note to self:  Hide The Guns next time! ; )

After a night full of activity and much rowdy laughter =), they woke up to blueberry muffins before I took them to Lowe's to build some very manly tow trucks.....

We then rushed home to pack up for the REAL party at a very ♥sweet♥ friend's pool..... because you can't have a party in Fl. in the middle of the summer that doesn't involve water!!  For some reason, I never did get the whole group together for a picture.....I think my brain was half melted/half exhausted! ; )

They also enjoyed the pool table......and so did the men {I think because it was air-conditioned inside ; )}!

Add food, cake and presents, and both of my ♥sweet♥ boys deemed a very great day.....and me a very awesome Mom.  They are so easy to please.... =)

How are you keeping it cool this summer?  Link up below.....I'd love to know!! ; )
