I've Been Featured....and have new items! =)

I woke up this morning and discovered that I've been featured at Welcome Wednesday, hosted by Take It From Me!

What a nice surprise.....and what incentive to get me to get together a post that I've been trying to get to for 3 days! ; )  With all the Fall craft fairs rolling around, I've been busy getting some things made for them while fulfilling other orders as well.

I have some new Team Spirit purses now available!  These Team purses are some of my most consistent best sellers.....we ladies love to show some style and personality, even when it comes to football fan loyalty! ; )

For my FSU friends, family & customers:

For my local Jacksonville Jaguar fans:

And, for my Bulldog fans:

Of course, I still have the Fl. Gator version available, too...... I've sewn so many of these,  I often think my machine should know how to do it by itself by now! ; )

I've got some new baby items as well, but I'm going to save them for next week's crafty post.....so come back and visit!  I know you'll be waiting on  pins & needles to find out what they are! ; )

Interesting (not really) and random fact: "Pins & Needles" was one of the names offered up when we were brainstorming business names for me.  We liked "Sweet Diva" better.  Obviously. =)

Join in the hop, hosted by Take It From Me, and you might be chosen to be featured next!

Hot Off The Presses....

.....or, more accurately, still warm from being pressed! ; )

As soon as I posted pictures of my newest tote, I started getting inquiries and requests for customized orders.  Talk about getting an instant reward for my efforts! ; )

I've got to give a shout-out to those Fl Gator fans ~ they keep this Sweet Diva busy with customized orders in their desire to show their team pride in style! ; )

A customized version for A Univ. of Fl. student.  I think she's a music major.....and her ♥sweet♥ mama is getting started on her Christmas shopping!  After Christmas, this student will be able to to show off her love of music, her love of ♥Christ♥, and her loyalty to her school team ~ all at the same time!

My super ♥sweet♥ daughter helped me decide on the Gator-colored fabrics.....she earned a cookie for her efforts.  Gotta love child labor! ; )

A sweet ♥ friend ♥ from church also placed an order for her own birthday gift (she shops like I do!).... =)

Nearly identical to the original, but slightly modified.....

She chose the phrase "His Song is Salvation" and wanted her name embroidered on the band, which I made slightly wider so that her name wouldn't have to be teensy-tiny! =)

Customization is a very fun thing.....these are ready for delivery & I've got to serve up some lunch to these homeschool students of mine before getting them started on their next assignment....and getting myself started on my next assignment!

Happy Tuesday! =)

"Stronger" by Mandisa

Is your soul singing today?  Do you have a song in your heart?  If not, stop and visit the "Then Sings My Soul Saturday" link-up at Signs, Miracles & Wonders.  By the time you listen to all the songs linked up, perhaps you will find yourself feeling refreshed & encouraged, and maybe even singing a few yourself.  I think our lives are always a little easier when our hearts are open to hearing the song He has for us! ♥

This song never fails to encourage me.....and to wake up the fighter within me when I'm feeling frustrated, exasperated, etc.. I've never heard a song by Mandisa that isn't full of Truth!  If you can't relate to this one, then you must not live in the same world I do.... ; )

"Stronger" by Mandisa

♫♪ Hey, heard you were up all night
Thinking about how your world ain't right
And you wonder if things will ever get better
And you're asking why is it always raining on you
When all you want is just a little good news
Instead of standing there stuck out in the weather

Oh, don't hang your head
It's gonna end
God's right there
Even if it's hard to see Him
I promise you that He still cares

When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
The pain ain't gonna last forever
And things can only get better
Believe me
This is gonna make you stronger
Gonna make you stronger, stronger, stronger
Believe me, this is gonna make you ...

Try and do the best you can
Hold on and let Him hold your hand
And go on and fall into the arms of Jesus
Oh, lift your head it's gonna end
God's right there
Even when you just can't feel Him
I promise you that He still cares

'Cause if He started this work in your life
He will be faithful to complete it
If only you believe it
He knows how much it hurts
And I'm sure that He's gonna help you get through this

When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
The pain ain't gonna last forever
In time it's gonna get better
Believe me
This is gonna make you stronger ♪♫

♫♪ A Very Sweet Music Tote ♪♫

I've had this music tote in my head for way too long, and finally forced myself to make time to actually make it!  Perhaps I shouldn't have used my favorite colors for it.....I think I might keep this one for myself! ; )

It measures approximately 13" wide x 14" high, has two outer pockets, is fully lined in black and has 4 roomy inner pockets in the ♥hot pink♥ contrasting fabric.  ♥Hot Pink♥ makes me happy, but other colors are just a request away! =) =) =)

It took me a while to find music note fabric that I actually liked and once I did, it was quilted by yours truly! The tote has a heavy weight inner lining so it will stand up to whatever you might want to put in it {music, perhaps? ; ) }!  I think I will put music in it, but might even use it for other things as well.....because I like it that much!!

The back looks just like the front, only without the embroidery.

A view of the inside & my favorite ♥hot pink♥ fabric (did I ever mention that I like ♥hot pink♥?)! =)

My favorite part of this tote is the embroidery on it, but it's not the only option available!  As always, I love special requests! ; )  Here are a few other designs I came up with......I had a hard time deciding which one to use.....which one is your favorite?

I don't think Blogger wanted me to do this post today....I have spent a ridiculous amount of time getting these photos to load right side up!!  So, if you're reading this, feel free to comment....any comment {as long as it's rated "G" ; ) } to reward me for my efforts....if I wasn't determined to lose a few pounds, I would be having a therapy session with lots of chocolate right now! ; )

Baby Gators Need To Snuggle......

......so I made something new for them, even though I'm not a Gator......because I try to be ♥sweet♥ and thoughtful like that! ; )

This very ♥Sweet♥ little rag quilt is perfect for the baby destined to become a little Gator!! You're never too young to start showing off your team spirit....even if your colors ARE orange & blue! ; )

It features nine three-piece squares ~ 2 focal prints, a flannel layer in the center and minky dot on the back. Each square except the center embroidered square has been sewn with the traditional "X" to achieve the quilted effect. Center minky square has been embroidered with the phrase, "It's Good To Be A Gator Girl. I can also do a name or inital monogram if desired.

All exposed seams have been hand clipped, and the quilt has been washed once in mild, non-toxic detergent to initiate the a ragged and frayed, Shabby-Chic look that we all love.

Approximate measurements are 18" x 18", which is the perfect size for a little one's special "Lovey" or security blanket (won't drag on the ground!), or even to use as a changing pad in an emergency. :)

These little "Loveys" have been so popular, and are so fun to make....even for teams that I may or may not cheer for....and I even have coordinating burp cloths in the works!  I have to admit it IS cute & living in Gator country, I felt the pressure to get this one out first....... but rest assured, a red and black version will be coming soon!! =)

It's Crafty Tuesday, and I'm linking up with all my Crafty Friends! =)
